Welcome to my (nightmare.A.Cooper) blogspot,
(please)allow me to introduce myself(M.Jagger),I'm just a girl(G.Stefani)in this Mad World(G.Jules).Although I was Born in the U.S.A (B.Springsteen),I have always felt as though England should have been my Home(R.Waters).My son Joey (Concrete Blonde)was born with a British accent but lost it by the Time(Pink Floyd)he was 4.He was born an Old Man(N.Young)and is the complete opposite of my older son Dennis, who will always be Forever Young(R.Stewart).When Joey turned 18(A.Cooper),he was already an avid golfer and he drives a New Yorker! He smokes cigars and has an interest in the stock market.I have to laugh when he tells the neighborhood kids to get off the grass! He only wears boxers and has no problem donning Black(Pearl Jam)dress socks with The Boxer(Simon & Garfunckle)shorts.Dennis is Fearless(Pink Floyd)and half Crazy(D.Matthews). He is 22 and pretty much just wants to Rock and Roll all Night and Party every Day(Kiss).Although he's a Working Man(Rush),he Still(L.Ritchie)manages to Shine a Light(Rolling Stones), Not Fade Away(Rolling Stones)and Party Like its 1999(Prince).
Hi Janine,
ReplyDeleteWelcome to my nightmare.Alice Cooper was my first concert long ago!!! Just seen Bon Jovi wow what a ride.
oh hey check my post and tell me what u think...k
ReplyDeleteHi Robert, one more thing.I can only reply to your second post, under Robert Smith.I don't have an AOL account to access jsminsdaddy.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever heard the really early stuff from Alice Cooper? It is really good.'Steven' and 'how you gonna see me now' were always my favorites, not as old as the early stuff but at least somewhat known.Pink Floyd is my personal favorite, since the mid '70s.I love a ton of music but Floyd is tattooed in my brain.I think 'Fearless' and 'Echos' are both perfect songs.I was one of the few who found "The Final Cut' to be one of their best albums(even though Roger Waters is credited in every aspect to the writing and vocals, the rest of the band had very little involvement in the entire production).
You mention Bon Jovi,I think that his vocals are amazing but I only like their ballads. The 80's,in my opinion, was a bad decade for music, movies, and clothes.Inxs and Talking Heads are the exception. Most of the bands in the 80's that continued from the 70's also doesn't apply but the 80's bands that began in the 80's(Thomson Twins,Big Country,ABC,Kangagoogoo(I am glad that I don't know how to spell this band, the did the song "Too Shy(hush hush, eye to eye)Remember it?Was is not horrible?,Men at work,Men without Hats...)just horrible!I am sure that each of these bands have a few good songs but I never heard one.By he way, fair warning to others:if you want to talk music...well,like Mick says "If ya start me up,I'll never stop..."
Hi Janine! I thought your post was awesome. Very creative in using songs to describe your life. I enjoy music but apparently not as much as you do. I look forward to reading more of your blogs as this class goes on!
ReplyDeleteHi Caroline!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment!
I didn't get any notification of your response otherwise I would have responded sooner.
Yes,huge fan of good music with a huge collection of good music.I also play piano, mostly classical but 'November Rain' by Guns-n-Roses is fun to play and nice to hear.I have an electric guitar and can play by ear but my fingers are too weak to work the strings well. I also have a violin but was a little surprised at how much I sucked at it.
You are more than welcome to follow my blog but I can assure you, it really is nothing more than much about nothing much, hence my blog title.
I think that blogging is a great way to connect with our classmates on a more social level, its more personal and inviting.Keep in mind though, my jokes are cheesy and I am corny so the majority of my blogging will have a lot of corn and cheese. An ear of corn to listen to the cheese I spread in my blog to you. See what I mean? the corns-a-poppin,add some cheese there ain't no stoppin' fingers coated with cheddar dust, damn this stuffs as orange as rust, gots to go it was nice to meet 'ya,blog again soon signed Chester Cheetah'!....Like I said, feel free to read on my friend,Jaine
